Every place in France has been a surprise. We made no plans and didn’t even create a route to follow. We are just going with it. Everytime we visit a place we decide we’ll, we aren’t here long enough. There’s still so much to see! We always make plans to come back for a much longer period of time and with the way we choose to do things, it will happen. :) @we_van #driveyouradventure

Oh by the way, we are in France doing #vanlife on this side of the world. We’ve stuffed our faces with so many baguettes and used what little French we know to make people laugh at our terrible accents. It’s been good! And since we will get this question a million times @we_van is #ourhomeonwheels for the next little while! :)

It has been forever since we last posted! We’ve been busy staying put. If you weren’t aware Jace was building a van with @bradjamin for another of our old friends and once they were finished we left real quick! Unfortunately it’s a quick one to Mexico but we can’t complain because the next couple weeks are going to be amazing!! ❤️

We know that Juniper is very lucky. Not necessarily because we are showing her the world but because she has both of us. Not everyone has this and we can’t imagine how hard that can be because we have both been lucky enough to have both parents in our lives. We hope she appreciates this one day.
While many people may not agree with the life we have chosen to give her we at least hope they recognize the most important thing we are giving her and that is Love. Sometimes that’s the only thing we need to feel when life is tough. We’ve got so much of that to give to her. (Maybe some days a little too much) She’s smitten us hard with some crazy baby love.

What makes a house a home? We’re brainstorming the next van we’re building and curious to ask you guys what makes home “home?” - For those that live in vans, what makes your van a home? Comment what makes it special for you (if it’s not too special).

With our plans of another van, I’m left drawing up plans and ideas and looking through old photos for inspiration. I really miss this exact moment from last year in Oregon. We had known for awhile that we were expecting a baby, but hadn’t told many people or made it public knowledge. It was a time where each moment was cherished together knowing that our lives would soon change dramatically. It was morning. Giddi made a hot tea and looked out our sliding door window to the water just a few hundred feet from where we had parked on the beach. You know how some photos just take you back somewhere? Every time I see this photo I hear the waves, smell the salt in the air and remember each and every happy and sad moment we shared on the road in our first van. What you don’t see is the sand all over the floor, the pile of dirty clothes under the desk, Lotus napping in the passenger seat with dog hair all over the dash, and the dirty unmade bed sheets. But it’s perfect. I love it all so so much. 😭

Nobody ever cares about drone shots but I think they’re rad and like to take them and share them and that’s what Instagram is all about. Sharing what we want not what always gets liiiiiikes. So here’s our van in the desert. 😍

Anyone who has met Lotus, knows how shy she can be. She loves her immediate family but can even be very much “on her own” with us too. Juniper wants to cuddle her every second of every day and Lotus really just isn’t into it haha. Lucky for Juniper, Lotus IS super into these treats @wellnesspetfood makes. Real, freeze dried meats for the win. It’s about the only time a successful cuddle happens. #rawrevolution #wellnesspetfood #ad

#ad When we find the location to call “home” for the night, we open our doors and let Juniper roam. We have yet to see her in a happier state than when she’s free to be. Maybe we are irresponsible for letting her run wild and letting her eat the chips she drops and gets dirt all over. But when we see her bend over and try to feed the ants we think to ourselves, “please let her always be this kind and giving to the tiniest of everything. @kettlebrand #liveflavorfully

Rolling into camp usually goes as follows: : “this looks like a good spot” : *parks van* : *moves van 3 different times until content* :
Giddi puts some things away and starts making something yummy completely from scratch. Jace, Juniper and Lotus jump out. Lotus starts sniffing around, Jace starts setting up the awning and chairs, and Juniper literally rolls around in the dirt, somehow always finds dry cow turds and tries to feed chips to the ants. :

We are headed to Mexico tomorrow! (Not Baja, unfortunately) but a break from work means a really exciting getaway for us. After sitting around for some time now, to say we are excited to paddle and beach it up, is an understatement. Soooooo excited! Puerto Peñasco see you soon sweetie!
